My interest in the following books began with watching the DVD The God Who Wasn’t There by Brian Flemming. He interviews each of these authors within the movie or includes their commentary in the special features.

THE JESUS PUZZLE [ Earl Doherty ]
The book has been called “the most compelling argument ever published in support of the theory that Jesus never existed as an historical person.”
INCREDIBLE SHRINKING SON OF MAN [ Robert M. Price ]
A reviewer states: “This informative and gripping book shows us how the Gospel stories were put together in order to satisfy religious craving.” We really liked listening to Price’s extended interview on the DVD and hope that his book is just as accessible and passionate.
SENSE & GOODNESS WITHOUT GOD [ Richard Carrier ]
The subtitle of this book is “A Defense of Metaphysical Naturalism”. A quote from the introduction: “This book surveys my philosophy of life, my ‘worldview’ … I build and defend a complete worldview by covering every fundamental subject — from knowledge to art, from metaphysics to morality, from theology to politics.”

These all look interesting. Please let us know what you think of them. (When you’re done with Goodnight Moon, of course.)
